What is the function of the indicator lights on each interface of the device?

When the device is turned on, the power prompt red light will be on for 8-10 seconds; then it will become a fast double flash; when it becomes a slow flash, Deeper Connect will operate normally. When Deeper is running normally, the green lights on the two network ports are always on and the yellow lights are flashing (it may be that the yellow lights are on and the green lights are flashing).

What should I do if one of the network port lights does not light up?

Try to tighten the network cable or try to replace the network cable.

Does Deeper Connect Lite have a flash drive?

Each Deeper Connect Lite (3rd generation product) does have a 16GB flash drive included. The drive contains our AtomOS operating system.

What are the advantages of Deeper Connect Mini?

The Mini has a powerful Intel Quad-core CPU; the size is ¼ smaller than the Lite and the weight is 80% lighter in comparison to the previous model.

What is the USB port for?

The USB port is for the Wi-Fi dongle adapter that our tech team is developing and will be released soon. Both the Mini and Nano will be receiving an Over The Air (OTA) firmware update to support plug-and-play WiFi adapters, bringing WiFi connectivity to your Mini and Nano. Users with an integrated modem/router all-in-one device will no longer need a separate router. The rollout for this update is scheduled for the next couple of months. We will make an announcement when it is ready!

What is the memory card for? Can I remove it or use it elsewhere?

The SD memory card contains the operating system software, please always keep it inserted in the device.

What’s the difference between Lite, Mini and Nano? How do the models compare?

All those models offer the same software features such as DPN, 7-layer enterprise level firewall, ad-blocking, bandwidth sharing, plug and play. The difference is the size, weight, speed and RAM. Please see the following for the detailed specs:

What is the power socket? Does this come with a power pack or just any suitable USB charger?

The production unit contains three ports: 1 Ethernet, 1 USB-C, and 1 USB-A. The unit comes with a power cable via USB-C (no power brick needed).

After using Deeper Connect for a period of time, the shell is very hot, is it normal?

This is a normal phenomenon, because the casing is transferring heat from the CPU to the air. This approach to thermal management is common in the electronics industry and the components will protect themselves if the device gets too hot.

What is the wattage of the Deeper Connect Mini?

The energy consumption is minimal (5~10W), not more than any standard hardwired VPN.

How can I charge the Deeper Connect Mini?

It has an adapter from 120V AC to 12V DC.

Would you consider making the Deeper devices compatible with Power over Ethernet (PoE)?

We haven't considered it, but we certainly could look over the advantages.

Does the device get hot? Is the device passively cooled?

The device could get up to 40-52 degree Celsius at most. The device is passively cooled. If done properly, it should be more than enough to cool the device since it is encased in metal.
